What the Training Club Year Looks Like

4 training blocks with a rotating focus, built around the specific needs of professional musicians.

The training is designed to combat the physical toll of playing an instrument: holding unnatural positions for long periods and repeating the same actions for hours and hours per day. It also helps you towards your wider goals, like building muscle, losing body fat and feeling physically and mentally good, which are hard to reach with what your work demands of you.

And all the way through, you'll learn to balance a consistent training habit with your performance schedule, so you turn up to gigs thriving rather than just surviving.

The Training Club year: Build, January to March; Develop, April to June; Sustain, July to September; Realign, October to December; then back to Build.BuildJanuary – MarchDevelopApril – JuneSustainJuly – SeptemberRealignOctober – December

Inside Each Block

Each training block lasts three months and is split into two six-week training rotations, followed by a scheduled deload week to help you recover and adapt sustainably.

4 Jan – 4 Apr 2027

Build

Build is about laying (or revisiting) the foundations: movement quality, strength and tendon resilience. January is the quietest time of year for most musicians, so it's the perfect time to build a solid base to develop through the rest of the year.

5 Apr – 4 Jul 2027

Develop

Develop does exactly what it says on the tin. It builds on the work from Build, while plugging the gaps that could leave you open to imbalance and injury later in the year.

5 Jul – 3 Oct 2027

Sustain

Summer is busy for a lot of us, so Sustain keeps your training going in a way that flexes with your schedule, whether you're on a long run, an intense tour, or trying to be everywhere at once.

4 Oct 2027 – 2 Jan 2028

Realign

After a year of training and performing, your body needs a chance to reset. Realign does that progressively, focusing on your posture and positional strength, so you head into January ready to build again.

Coached, Not Just Programmed

Every exercise comes with an in-depth lesson. I talk you through it while I demonstrate, so you know what to do, why you’re doing it, and what it should feel like.

Every lesson gives you scalable options that meet you where you are, so you can train as a beginner or an advanced lifter, as well as a travel version you can take on the road with you, so your schedule never gets in the way of your training.

“I’d tried several trainers looking for injury prevention for my career before I found this level of knowledge. It’s an injury-saver and a career-saver.”

What You’re Stepping Into

Not many training plans exist for professional musicians at all. Fewer still are built around a full year, planned in stages against the real demands of the job, with elite-level performance support sitting in your pocket.

Coming soon: 25-minute metcon workouts, nutrition tracking and frameworks, and the Recovery Hub.

Members are based all over the world, and many of them tour to all four corners of it, with their training in hand wherever they are.

Between them they play with acts such as Pulp, Elton John, George Ezra, Michael Bublé and Gary Barlow. They’re in West End, Broadway and touring productions including Hamilton, Wicked, Mamma Mia, The Lion King and Waitress, and in orchestras including the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic and Hans Zimmer’s touring orchestras.

“I’ve made more progress over the last year than I did in the previous five. And the improvements in how I navigate life have been invaluable.”
Ed Owen, Performance Conditioning Client

Before You Sign Up

Does the training repeat?

No. Although you are progressing the same exercises for 6 weeks at a time, every session across the entire year is different. When you train properly, no session is ever the same. And this is that!

Is the programming individualised?

It's a structured programme with 1-1 coaching. If you want fully individualised programming, message me and we'll talk about what that looks like.

Do you do nutrition plans?

We don't do prescribed nutrition, however I am working on a comprehensive nutrition hub with frameworks for how to structure your meals around training and performing. Plus, there are personalised macro and micro targets, nutrition tracking, recipe books, meal planners, and shopping lists on the way soon. Short of working with a nutritionist on a bespoke plan, this will give you everything you need.

When does my plan start?

Your Club training starts when the challenge ends, so your training carries straight on without a gap.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes, at renewal. When your term ends you can move to a different plan, either up or down.

What happens if the price goes up?

The price you join at is yours for as long as you stay a member.

Does my account carry over?

Yes. It’s the same app and the same account, so your history, your progress and everything you’ve logged stays exactly where it is.

What happens at the end of my plan?

All plans renew automatically at the price you joined at, so your training never stops without you choosing to stop it. Monthly renews every month, biannual every 6 months, and annual every 12.

What if I have more questions?
